2008 Procedure 9 Permanent Tee Times

The permanent tee time feature is for courses booking recurring weekly tee times for individual customers. This feature is based on the start time position and adjusts weekly. For example, if the first week‟s first tee time is 8:00 a.m. and the second week‟s first tee time is 7:30 a.m., then 8:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. are the first permanent tee times for each week, respectively.

Alternatively, if permanent tee times are to start at the same time every week, define the season to start at the same time every week, then create and schedule the permanent tee times. Once complete, use the season template to add more "nonpermanent" times at the beginning of the day on selected weeks.

Defining Permanent Tee Times

1) Log into Fore! Reservations.

2) Open the Permanent Tee Time screen by selecting the File | Setup | Permanent Tee Times menu item.

3) Click the Course Name pull-down menu and select a course.

4) Click the day column pulldown menu and select a day of the week.

5) Click on the start date column, which defaults to the first day this course is defined. If this is not the desired day, click on the pull-down menu to get a list of days and select the first day of your program.

6) Select a time in the Start Time pull-down menu.

7) Click on the end date column which defaults to the last day this course is defined. If this is not the desired day, click on the pull-down menu to a get a list of days and select one.

8) Continue this process with each additional tee time that is considered a permanent tee time.

9) Once all tee times are set up in the add status, click the Load button. This makes the permanent tee times active.

Booking a Permanent Tee Time

Active permanent tee times appear blue in the schedule time column. Only individuals can be booked on these tee times, therefore, the quantity must remain 1. The permanent tee time reservation screen displays a Permanent checkbox. If this box is checked, the reservation is made on this date and every future permanent tee time for this day of the week. The future reservations are not necessarily the exact same tee time, but are the same beginning of the day position. Unchecking the permanent checkbox treats this as the typical tee time for just one.

Canceling a Permanent Tee Time

The Modify Reservation screen for a permanent tee time uses the Permanent checkbox to determine how to handle cancellations. Therefore, if the Permanent Tee Time is canceled with this checkbox checked, the reservation is canceled for that day and all days in the future. If the checkbox is empty, the reservation is only canceled for that day.
