Fore! Reservations allows a small picture to be attached to a customer profile. When booking a reservation or putting a customer in the Shopping Cart, the picture appears in the top right corner of the Fore! Reservations screen. To show the picture again, briefly hover over the reservation with the mouse (see page 46).
To upload pictures into Fore! Reservations, the computers must use a Windows XP or Windows Vista/7 operating system and have a USB connection. A compatible camera must have a USB connection and be set up in PTP mode as opposed to mass storage mode. The camera should also be set up to have the lowest resolution possible. For this, less expensive cameras often work best!
Do not install the software that comes with the camera. Installation of the software often causes conflicts with the upload into Fore! Reservations.
Add a Picture File to a Customer Profile
1) Take the customer‟s picture using a digital camera with USB connection.

7) Select a customer and click the Change button.

9) Click Add Picture and allow Fore! Reservations and the camera to communicate and the picture to appear.
10) Repeat Steps 7-9 to add more pictures.

Notes about Pictures
- The last picture taken is the first picture placed into the customer profile. For example, if you take a picture of customer A then customer B, select customer B‟s profile first.
- Be aware that different cameras store and send files in different orientations. For example, if the customer picture is displayed in Fore! Reservations sideways or even upside down, select Delete Picture and repeat the above steps after adjusting the camera angle.
- Fore! Reservations automatically deletes the picture from the camera after the picture is downloaded.
- To stop Auto Run from appearing whenever the camera is plugged in, navigate to the control panel and open the scanner‟s and camera‟s applet. The camera that is plugged in should be listed. Right-click on it and select Properties, select Actions, and then select the “Take No Action” radio button. Click OK.
- Rechargeable nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries are much more convenient and cost effective than continually purchasing disposable alkaline batteries.
- Use a light blue background and a flash camera for best results.
