Important information to consider when upgrading existing or purchasing a new computer to run Fore! Reservations.
- RAM is more important than processor speed. If you are going to upgrade an older computer, more RAM usually makes the most improvement. We never recommend upgrading the Operating System as it causes complications.
- Fore! Reservations 2008 will not install on Windows 7. It will run properly on Windows XP and Vista
- Fore! Reservations 2009 will install on Windows 7 but is NOT recommended for the following reasons:
- Cherry Keyboard is not supported - Magteks may lock up the computer when claimed.
- Magteks will not install on Windows 7 64 bit.
- CT-S310 printers are supported - Epson TM and Citizen IDP3210 Receipt Printers are not.
- Email Confirmations will not work because there is no email client on Windows 7.
- Personal Data Terminal – M5000 is not supported.
- Passwords on the Admin user cause conflicts in Fore! Sell features.
- Fore! Reservations 2011 will run properly on Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 with the following exceptions:
- Cherry Keyboard is not supported
- Epson TM and Citizen IDP3210 Receipt Printers are not supported
- Personal Data Terminal – M5000 is not supported.
