Investment Generates Tenfold Profit
Courses in the Marketing Assistance Program (MAP) saw impressive results this year. On average, a MAP course made $15,000 in revenue from the Fore! Reservations technology and e-mail marketing campaigns implemented during the 2011 season. For an investment of $1,500 (the cost of MAP for one year), MAP courses saw a return of up to 10 times that amount! Now that’s what we call real marketing results! If your course could benefit from generating an extra $15,000, and who couldn’t these days, contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. iPad 2 Giveaway - Just Bust a Myth!
As a result of feedback received from last month’s customer survey and recent Regional Users Conferences, we have discovered there are incorrect assumptions about what your Fore! Reservations software system can and cannot do. In an effort to better inform our customers about the system’s capabilities, we are setting out to bust a myth each month beginning in January 2012. While our staff could easily debunk these myths, we are looking for “expert mythbusters" found among our golf course operators. Debunk a myth listed here by submitting your counter argument to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it explaining how your course utilizes Fore! Reservations to do what the myth says can’t be done. A written explanation (at least a few paragraphs long), statistics, videos or photos can all be submitted to help prove your point. If you are selected as a monthly mythbuster, we’ll reward you with a brand new iPad 2! We are also taking votes from all customers on which 12 myths should be selected to bust, click here to cast your vote!

Support Our Favorite Cause this Holiday Season
With the holiday season upon us we would like to take just a minute of your time to remind you about our dear friends at The Salute Military Golf Association. The SMGA provides rehabilitative golf experiences for combat-wounded veterans in an effort to improve their quality of life when returning home from overseas. Due to low participation numbers last year we will not be hosting a beneficiary outing this year. In lieu of that fundraising opportunity, we encourage everyone to join us in donating a monetary gift (large or small), or even golf clubs that can be retro-fitted to help these very deserving soldiers. Fore! Reservations will match the first $5,000 in donations from our customers. Click here to donate to The SMGA!
Users Corner: Out of Box Idea Generates Kiosk Buzz
Jeanne Bash of Mill Creek Golf Club struggles to get her golf shop staff to encourage customers to use the Touch Screen Kiosk. Feeling that frustration, Jeanne bypassed her staff by putting out a jar filled with ball markers next to the kiosk and ran a "guess the correct number of ball markers" contest. A valid email address entered into the kiosk was required to submit a guess. The closest guess would receive a complimentary round of golf. Jeanne didn't require her staff to promote the contest, but the contest collected more customer emails than any other offer ran that season. Jeanne's suggestion to fellow operators: create buzz around the kiosk by offering something fun for customers to participate in and you'll be surprised at how many emails you can collect. Thanks for sharing your success story Jeanne!
