Fore! Reservations and the University of Wisconsin-Stout Golf Enterprise Management program have teamed up to provide student internship opportunities at our golf courses this season. The UW-Stout students are taking a Fore! Reservations course this semester and will be certified users of the software by the start of their internship. We are looking to place 25 students in paid internship opportunities for the entire summer or even possibly through the end of October. BARTER SURVEY RESULTS ENCOURAGING
Thanks to everyone who completed last month's survey on barter. Your insight and opinions are valued and we appreciate your participation. Eric Claxton, Director of Golf at Wolfdancer Golf Club (Lost Pines, TX), is the lucky winner of a free flight and two night hotel stay in Las Vegas! Upon reviewing the survey results, it was refreshing to learn that only 25% of the courses surveyed use barter to resell tee times, and the majority surveyed understand that barter leads to the loss of control of tee time price integrity. One of the user responses that best summarizes the results of the survey went as follows. "I would rather pay commission than barter my tee times away to a reseller. They seem to turn around and sell the time to MY customers below the market rate. This cheapens my tee time perceived value and lowers its appeal at regular price."
FORE! RESERVATIONS OFFICIALLY LISTED AS PCI COMPLIANT ON PCI SECURITY STANDARDS COUNCIL WEBSITE
After months of development and hundreds of thousands of dollars in engineering and auditing costs, Fore! Established by the PCI Security Standards Council, only those listed on the council's website have been evaluated and determined as complying with PA-DSS. To view the Fore! 2009 REGIONAL USERS CONFERENCES A HUGE SUCCESS
2009 was a busy year for Regional Users Conferences. Fore! Reservations held twenty seminars all across the United States and Canada that 400 courses and nearly 700 users attended; making this our most successful conference year to date. Attendees benefited from a free day of software training to learn first-hand about the latest and greatest products and services offered by Fore! Reservations.
